Development Center and King of Kings Multipurpose Room Activities

1. Cub Scouts: King of Kings is a proud partner with the Boy Scouts of America. Every Thursday night at 6:30 PM boys from Den 3 of local Pack 3088 meet in the multipurpose room at the Open Arms Child Development center to work on their badges and on local community projects.

2. Brownies (Girl Scouts). Meets 1st & 4th Tuesday each month at 6:30 PM

3. Iddy-Biddy Basketball. The is an outreach program for children in the community age 3-5 years.
For six Sundays, starting October 8th at 4:00 PM, children and their parents together learn the fundamentals of basketball.

4 Christian Basketball Association of Kansas. King of Kings is once again excited to promote the fastest growing faith based basketball program in Johnson Country. Partnering with numerous other congregations, King of Kings provides an exciting league for kids to play in. Registration is in October and November and league play starts in January. 5. Summer Hoops “Speed League”. Keeping kids grounded in their faith and providing a positive environment to have fun and stay involved is the major focus of our Summer Speed League. Playing a fast paced 30 minute game twice a week, Monday and Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM, the kids have fun and stay involved in church activities.

6. Girls Winter Recreation Hoops. Sign up in October for a winter wonderland of hoops, friendship, Bible memory verses, singing songs and a fun time. Girls from 4th to 6th grade come together and practice the game of basketball together. In January they play an eight game “intramural” season, dividing up teams amongst themselves to experience physical exercise, the great game of basketball and to have fun with one another. This program is open to all young ladies in the community

7. Men’s 3-3 Basketball. On Sunday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 PM in October through November, King of Kings host a men’s basketball league. All games are played in the gymnasium. The league is open to all levels of skill.

8. Adult Co-ed recreation Volleyball. Want to have fun, laugh at yourself and your neighbor? Join us in the Open Arms gymnasium on the campus of King of Kings for co-ed volleyball each January. Registration for this recreational league is in late November. Games are played on Sunday nights, January through March, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM.
